Comments & Reviews
When visitors leave comments or reviews on the site we collect the data shown in the comments/review form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
We temporarily store information input from visitors into any website contact form, so that we may respond to the visitor’s inquiries competently. This allows us to provide optimal customer service and assist any of our visitors with issues or questions they may have.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text-only file which is placed on your computer. The file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow our website to respond to you as an individual – for example, how quickly did a webpage download for you? What pages did you visit? Do you still have items in your shopping cart? We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and to improve your website experience.
A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer although we would rather you didn’t… this may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website and it’s features.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service by Google Inc. (“Google”), which uses cookies. This involves cookies from Google itself (Google Analytics cookies). The information about your use of this website, which is generated by these cookies, is transmitted to a server owned by Google, Inc., and stored there. No private information is sent to Google and your IP address is anonymized. You can opt out of the placement of Google Analytics cookies through an add-on to your browser.
By opting out of Google Analytics cookies you can exercise your right to deny the collection, processing and use of data by Google Analytics in the future. To do this you can install Google Analytics’ disable add-on for browsers. As a result, you prevent Google Analytics from storing information about your website visits. Further information and tips about downloading and installing this disable add-on can be found at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How long we retain your data
If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for XXX years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.
If you leave a comment/review, the comment/review and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
We respect your privacy and do not share, sell, rent, trade, or talk about the personal information you provide to us to any third party. Under no circumstances will we share any of your personal information with any third party. All payment information is securely transmitted and then stored with encrypted security software by our payment processor Paypal.
Names, addresses and further shipping information are sent securely to the chosen courier that the customer selects during store checkout via our secure shipping integration with ShipStation.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
In the footer of every page on our website, there is a signup for our e-mail newsletter. We encourage current and future customers to join our newsletter. Periodic discounts and product updates will be emailed to anyone that opts to join. Our Newsletter easily allows subscribers to unsubscribe at anytime by clicking the ‘UNSUBSCRIBE’ link at the bottom of any email newsletter. Our email newsletter is securely maintained by Mailchimp.
