Tjakra is a very unique leather, especially in terms of aging. The pebble grain pattern on the leather seals the porous surface of the leather as well as polishes it, this makes Tjakra a very resilient and scratch resistant leather. It will acquire a patina of use with time, but it will be a much more gradual process and the effect will be less dramatic than other veg-tans. Material : Vegetable tanned leather from Italian Tannery founded in 1973 that has authentic leather look, unique two-tone colour, feel and smell with pebbled grain surface.

Thickness : 4.5mm on lug area taper down to 2.5mm on holes area

Stitching : Each stitching hole is punched by antique awl and hand stitched with red wax yarn. (you can choose any other color combination/stitching to make a truly custom strap).

Edges : The leather edge is first sealed with edge paint for humidity resistance, and then repeatedly layered with iron-heated waxed coating for a smooth finish.
